Back on February 18, 2023, a stealer log labeled "Vietnam 11" was quietly uploaded to a Telegram channel, exposing 44,677 records of stolen logins gathered from malware-infected devices with a Vietnamese footprint. Years later, that file is still circulating, and the email addresses, plaintext passwords, and login URLs inside it are just as usable today as they were the day the log was created.

Why This Is Dangerous

Time doesn't make a stolen password safer. If any of the 44,677 accounts in this log never changed their password after 2023, that credential is still sitting out there, fully exposed, waiting to be tried. Plaintext passwords don't expire, and a leak that goes unnoticed for years often does more damage than one that's caught right away.

What Was Exposed

  • Email addresses
  • Plaintext passwords
  • Login URLs tied to each account

Why This Matters

A years-old stealer log like this one is still a live threat because attackers regularly recycle older lists for credential stuffing, testing stale logins against current accounts on the chance a password was never changed. Anyone still using the same password from 2023 risks account takeover, and depending on what that account connects to, identity theft or financial fraud as well.

How a Stealer Log Stays Dangerous for Years

Malware infections that generate logs like "Vietnam 11" happen fast, but the stolen data itself can circulate on dark web forums and Telegram channels indefinitely. Each time it's resold or reposted, more people gain access to the same 44,677 email and password pairs, and every day that a password goes unchanged is another day the log stays effective.

Check If You Are Affected

Even years after a leak, it's worth checking whether your information is exposed. HEROIC's free breach scanner searches more than 400 billion leaked records, including older stealer logs like this one, so you can confirm your exposure and update any password that's been sitting vulnerable since 2023.
