Time to Increase Your Email Security

by May 6, 2016

Nobody ever thought the largest email providers would have email security issues, but it’s happened. As of May 4th, 2016 reports flooded the Internet with news that around 272 million Gmail, Microsoft and Yahoo email accounts have had their login credentials stolen. Those usernames and passwords are now being given away for free across the web.

The only course of action you can take is to change your email password and turn on “two factor authentication.” We’ve provided links below on how to do each of these below. Act fast and increase your email security!

If you’re not familiar with two factor authentication, it’s an added layer of security to keeps hackers out of your account. With it turned on, you will not only have to put in your username and password to login but also a numerical code that is sent to your personal cell phone; a code that only you will know. There’s no way for a hacker to get that code from you, unless they have your cell phone.
