The 500 PCS FREE LOGS Stealer Leak Contains More Records Than a Small City’s Population
HEROIC analysts identified a stealer log file uploaded to Telegram on November 5, 2023, labeled "500 PCS - 11.05.23 - FREE LOGS." The file exposed 11,601 records gathered from compromised endpoints. Each record contained an email address, a plaintext password, and the URL of the service where those credentials were used, including API hosts and websites. The fact that the passwords were stored in plaintext means there was no encryption to bypass. Anyone who downloaded the file recieved a fully usable set of login credentials, ready to be used immediately against real accounts.
Why This Is Dangerous
Over 11,000 plaintext username and password pairs in a single file is a significant haul for any attacker.
