On May 22, 2026, a fresh file appeared in a Telegram channel dedicated to trading stolen data, and buried inside it were 6,647 individual records now tied to the source labeled CryptogoL12 12. Nobody announced it publicly and no company sent out a breach notification. The file just sat there, free for anyone with a Telegram account to grab.

Why This Is Dangerous

A stealer log is not like a normal hacked database that a company eventually admits to loosing control of. It comes directly from infected computers, meaning the 6,647 entries in CryptogoL12 12 were pulled straight off victims' own devices. That distinction matters because whoever collected this data didn't just get a password, they potentially got a full snapshot of what someone was doing online at the moment their machine was infected.

What Was Exposed

  • Email addresses tied to real people's accounts
  • Plaintext passwords, stored with no encryption at all
  • URLs showing exactly which websites and services each victim logged into

Why This Matters

Because the passwords in CryptogoL12 12 are sitting in plaintext, anyone who downloads the file can read them instantly, no cracking or decryption required. Combine that with the URLs also included in the leak and a criminal can build a shopping list of exactly which accounts to target for each victim, from email to banking to social media.

How Stealer Logs Work

Most stealer logs begin the same way: a victim downloads something they shouldn't, often a cracked version of paid software or a "free" tool promised on a forum. Hidden inside is a small piece of malware that quietly reads through the victim's browser, pulling saved passwords, cookies, and autofill data before sending everything back to whoever built the malware. The victim rarely notices anything is wrong until it's already too late.
