HEROIC Discovers Bugatti_Cloud Leak: 8,294 Passwords Exposed
While monitoring Telegram channels for newly circulated stealer logs, HEROIC analysts found a file titled "Bugatti_Cloud Bugatti_Man 04.02.part16," uploaded on 4 February 2024. Digging into the file confirmed 8,294 records, made up of email addresses, plaintext passwords, and the URLs each login pairs with.
Why the Bugatti_Cloud Leak Is Dangerous
The "part16" naming suggests this file is one piece of a much larger series being distributed in chunks, a common tactic that lets the same haul reach more Telegram groups over time. Even as a single part, it holds thousands of working, unencrypted logins.
Because the passwords sit in plaintext, there is no decryption step standing between a criminal and immediate access. Pair that with the exact site URL, and the attacker has everything needed to log straight in.
What Was Exposed
- Email addresses
- Plaintext passwords
- URLs tied to each set of credentials
Why This Matters
Files like this one are exactly what fuels credential stuffing, where attackers automatically test the same email and password combo across many other websites, banking, streaming, email, shopping, hoping for a match.
When a match happens, account takeover, identity theft, and financial fraud tend to follow closely behind. Reusing a password even once can be enough to expose an entire digital life.
How This Stealer Log Was Created
Info-stealing malware is usually delivered through cracked software, fake driver updates, or downloads promising something enticing, in this case possibly luxury or lifestyle themed content given the "Bugatti" branding used to lure victims. Once active, it quitely scrapes saved browser passwords and sends them home to the attacker.
Large hauls are then sliced into numbered parts, like "part16" here, and distributed across Telegram channels over time. This staggered release keeps the data fresh in criminal circles for longer than a single, one-time dump would.
