In June 2026, HEROIC analysts spotted a stealer log named "Everlasting_Cloud" posted by a Telegram user. The file held 11,686 records pulled straight from infected devices, pairing email addresses with plaintext passwords and the exact web addresses where each login was used. These logs are typically harvested by malware that quietly runs in the background while a victim browses normally.

Why This Is Dangerous

Every record in this log is a working key to a real account. Because the malware captured the login the moment it was typed, an attacker does not need to guess or crack anything. They simply copy the email, password, and URL, and log straight in as the victim.

What Was Exposed

  • Email addresses
  • Plaintext passwords
  • Associated login URLs

Why This Matters

A single leaked password rarely stays a single problem. Attackers feed stolen logins into automated credential stuffing tools that test the same email and password combo across banking, email, and shopping sites. One reused password can chain into account takeover, then identitiy theft, then financial fraud, often within hours of the log being posted.

How One Leak Chains Into the Next

Stealer logs create a domino effect. Once an attacker gets into your email using a stolen password, they can use "forgot password" links to reset access to your banking, shopping, and social media accounts one after another. Each newly compromised account becomes a stepping stone to the next, which is why a single stealer log entry can snowball into a much bigger loss than the original breach suggested.

How Stealer Logs Work

Info-stealing malware usually arrives disguised as pirated software, a game cheat, or a fake browser update. Once installed, it reads the saved password vault in the victim's browser and exports every username, password, and site pairing it finds. The stolen data is then bundled into a log file, like Everlasting_Cloud, and shared or sold on Telegram channels dedicated to stolen credentials.
