It only took one Telegram post to spread 669,828 stolen login records into the open. HEROIC's research team has confirmed the dump, known as txtbaseportal FREE OCT, surfaced in October 2025 and traces back to malware quietly running on infected devices rather than any single company getting hacked.

Why This Is Dangerous

What makes this leak so hard to defend against is exactly how it happened. There was no company database to secure, no server to patch, just individual computers already infected with malware that collected data long before anyone uploaded the file. By the time txtbaseportal FREE OCT appeared on Telegram, the damage on the victim's end had allready been done.

What Was Exposed

The txtbaseportal FREE OCT dump, dated 18-Oct-2025, contains 669,828 records including:

  • Email Addresses
  • Plaintext Password
  • URLs

Nothing in the file was encrypted, so once it hit Telegram, anyone with the download link had immediate, usable access to every login inside it.

Why This Matters

Understanding how the leak occured helps explain why it is so widespread. Since the data came from many separate infected machines rather than one breached service, the accounts affected span countless unrelated websites and services. There is no single company to blame or a single password reset that fixes everything, wich makes cleanup much messier for anyone caught up in it.

How Stealer Logs Work

The chain usually starts small: someone downloads a cracked piece of software, clicks a fake update, or opens a rigged attachment. Stealer malware then quietly activates, scanning the browser for saved passwords, cookies, and autofill records before compiling it all into one file. That file, in this case, made its way to a Telegram channel labeled txtbaseportal FREE OCT, where it was made freely available to download.

Check If You Are Affected

Since this kind of leak spreads without any warning to the people involved, it pays to check for yourself. HEROIC's free breach scanner searches more than 400 billion compromised records, so you can quickly find out if your email or password shows up in txtbaseportal FREE OCT or any other tracked leak.
