In May 2026, HEROIC analysts identified a stealer log labeled microsoft 10, uploaded to a Telegram channel by an unnamed user. The file contained 855 records, each combining an email address, a plaintext password, and the URL of the account it unlocks. Like the related microsoft 8 log, this file appears to be part of an ongoing series of Microsoft-linked credential collections pulled from infected devices and shared through the same Telegram source.

Why This Is Dangerous

Every one of these 855 passwords is stored in plaintext, meaning anyone who opens the file can read and use the credentials immediately. Because each record includes the exact login URL, an attacker does not need to search for where a password works, the file tells them directly. That combination makes a stealer log far more immediately dangerous than a typical hashed password breach.

What Was Exposed

  • Email addresses
  • Plaintext passwords
  • URLs for the associated login pages

Why This Matters

If any of these 855 people reused their email password on other services, attackers can use the exposed credentials to attempt logins elsewhere through credential stuffing. A compromised email account can also be used to reset passwords on banking, shopping, and social accounts linked to it, turning one leaked password into access to many others.

How Stealer Logs Work

Stealer logs are produced by infostealer malware, which infects a device through methods like pirated software, fake installers, or malicious attachments, then silently harvests saved browser passwords and autofill data. That information is sent back to the attacker and often ends up compiled into files like this one, which are then shared or sold across Telegram channels and dark web forums.
