HEROIC analysts identified a stealer log dump uploaded by a Telegram user on June 27, 2025, tracked internally as Mixed_Leak_20250627_043309. The file contained 14,306 records pulled directly from infected computers, including email addresses, plaintext passwords, and the URLs of the websites those credentials unlock.

Why This Stealer Log Is Dangerous

Unlike a typical company data breach, a stealer log comes straight from a victim's own device. Malware silently copied saved logins from browsers and apps, then bundled them into one file alongside the exact web address each password belongs to. That pairing is what makes this leak so useful to criminals. They don't have to guess where a password works, it's handed to them.

What Was Exposed

  • Email addresses
  • Plaintext passwords
  • URLs linked to each set of credentials

Why This Matters

Because these passwords were stored in plaintext, anyone who obtains this file can log in immediately, no cracking required. Attackers routinely recieve batches like this and test the logins against banking portals, email providers, and shopping accounts in a technique known as credential stuffing. If a password was reused anywhere else, that account is now at risk of takeover, financial fraud, or identity theft.

How Stealer Logs Work

A stealer log begins with malware, often hidden in a cracked game, fake software installer, or a malicious email attachment. Once it runs, the malware quitely scans the victim's browser for saved passwords, autofill data, and session cookies, then sends everything back to the attacker in a neatly organized file. These logs are traded and sold in bulk on Telegram and dark web marketplaces, which is exactly how this one surfaced.
