HEROIC analysts discovered the prdscloud 562logs stealer log file circulating on Telegram in September 2023. The file contained 1,031 records harvested from infected devices, exposing email addresses, plaintext passwords, and URLs captured directly from victims' browsers and applications. The data was uploaded by an anonymous Telegram user and made freely available to anyone with access to the channel.

Why This Is Dangerous: What Attackers Can Do With prdscloud 562logs Data

This type of exposure is particularly alarming because the passwords are in plaintext -- meaning they are completely readable with no cracking required. Attackers who recieve this data can immediately attempt to log into email accounts, banking portals, and any other site where the victim reuses the same password. The inclusion of URLs means criminals know exactly which websites the victims were logged into, allowing them to target high-value accounts with precision.

What Was Exposed in the prdscloud 562logs Stealer Log

  • Email Addresses
  • Plaintext Passwords
  • URLs (websites and application endpoints)

Why This Matters

When email addresses and plaintext passwords are leaked together, the consequences can be severe. Criminals use automated tools to test these credential pairs across hundreds of popular websites in a tactic known as credential stuffing. A single compromised password can lead to account takeover across multiple platforms, identity theft, and financial fraud if banking or payment credentials are among the exposed data. Because stealer logs capture data directly from infected machines, the information is often fresh and highly accurate.

How Stealer Log Breaches Work

Stealer logs are created by malware programs -- often called information stealers or infostealers -- that infect a victim's computer without their knowledge. Once installed, the malware silently collects saved passwords from browsers, email clients, and applications. It also records the URLs associated with those credentials and any other sensitive data stored on the device. The collected data is then packaged into log files and sent back to the attacker, who may sell them, share them on Telegram channels, or use them for targeted attacks. The malware typically spreads through phishing emails, malicious downloads, or cracked software. It is definitately one of the more deceptive forms of cybercrime because victims often have no idea their credentials have been stolen until their accounts are compromised.
