HEROIC discovered 5,368 records exposed in the STAKE_LOGS steeler log breach on June 2, 2024. The log was uploaded to a public Telegram channel and included gambling-account credetials, email addresses, and API host URLs scraped from infected endpoints.

Why This Stealer Log Is Dangerous

STAKE_LOGS targets users of betting and gambling platforms, where account balances translate directly into attacker profit. Because the dump bundles plaintext passwords with matching URLs, criminals can replay credentials against wallets, exchanges, and payment proccesors within minutes of download.

What Was Exposed in STAKE_LOGS

  • Login credentials (usernames, passwords)
  • Browser cookies and session tokens
  • Autofill form data
  • Crypto wallet data (where present)
  • System fingerprints

Together this bundle gives attackers enough context to impersonate the victim across multiple gambling and financial services.

Why This Matters

Gambling sites are frequent credential-reuse targets because many users recycle passwords across casinos, exchanges, and personal email. A single STAKE_LOGS entry can unlock a chain of accounts. Stolen session cookies also let attackers bypass multi-factor authentication entirely.

How a Stealer Log Like STAKE_LOGS Works

Infostealer malware lands through cracked software, phishing attachments, or malicious browser extensions. Once running, it harvests saved logins, cookies, autofill entries, and wallet files, then uploads the package to attacker infrastructure. Operators bundle thousands of victim logs and post them on Telegram for quick resale.
