In April 2023, a Telegram user uploaded a stealer log dump known as "2.6KK Mix Data" containing 2,514,151 records of stolen email addresses, plaintext passwords, and URLs. This is not a breach of any single company. It is a compiled collection of login credentials silently harvested from infected computers by information-stealing malware, then packaged and shared on Telegram for anyone to download.

Why This Is Dangerous

Stealer logs like this one are especially risky because the passwords inside them are almost never disguised. They were captured in plaintext directly from browsers and saved login forms on infected devices, which means anyone who gets a copy of this file can use the credentials immediately, with no cracking or guessing required.

What Was Exposed

  • Email addresses
  • Plaintext passwords
  • Associated URLs (the exact websites each login belongs to)

Because the leak includes the URL tied to each credential pair, criminals can quickly sort the data by site and target the accounts that matter most, such as email, banking, or shopping logins.

Why This Matters

A leak like this feeds directly into credential stuffing attacks, where automated tools try your leaked email and password combination across hundreds of other websites. If you reused that password anywhere else, those accounts are at risk too. From there it is a short step to account takeover, identity theft, and financial fraud, particularly if the exposed URLs point to email or financial services.

How Stealer Log Dumps Like This Happen

Stealer malware infects a device, often through a fake download, cracked software, or malicious attachment, then quietly copies saved passwords, autofill data, and browser cookies before sending everything back to the attacker. Once collected, these logs are frequently bundled together into large "mix" files, like this 2.5 million record set, and traded or given away for free in Telegram channels used by cybercriminals.

Check If You Are Affected

The only way to know for sure if your email address is part of this leak, or any other breach, is to check it. HEROIC's free breach scanner searches a database of more than 400 billion leaked records, including stealer logs like this one, so you can find out in seconds and take action before your credentials are misused.
