The 4.6K CHINA Leak Is Small, but 4,666 Passwords Are Now Exposed
In May 2026, HEROIC's threat intelligence analysts found a small but potent combolist uploaded to Telegram by an anonymous user, tracked as "4.6K CHINA uploaded by a Telegram User." The file contains 4,666 records pairing email addresses with plaintext passwords, along with the URLs of the sites those logins belong to.
Why This Is Dangerous
Size is not the same as severity. Every one of the 4,666 credential pairs in this file is stored in plaintext, meaning there is no password hash for an attacker to crack. Combined with the URL of the login page each credential belongs to, this list hands an attacker a ready-made set of working logins they can try immediately, no technical skill required.
