Identity Theft Risk Grows After the “450 PCS” Leak: 7,033 Exposed
"450 PCS - Free Logs" Stealer Log Exposes 7,033 Records
HEROIC analysts identified a stealer log file labeled "450 PCS - 15 MAY - FREE LOGS" that was originally captured on May 1, 2024, but only recently surfaced on a Telegram channel. The file contained 7,033 records, including email addresses, plaintext passwords, and the URLs of the accounts those credentials unlock. Being labeled "free" means whoever posted it gave the data away rather than selling it, making it available to an even wider pool of people on the channel.
Why This Is Dangerous
Because this data was harvested directly from infected devices rather than a hacked company server, the passwords are stored in plaintext, not hashed or scrambled. Paired with the matching URL for each account, an attacker can go straight to the correct login page and try each of these 7,033 credential pairs, with no cost or barrier to accessing the file in the first place.
What Was Exposed
- Email addresses
- Plaintext passwords
- URLs of the accounts the credentials belong to
Why This Matters
The fact that this data sat around since May 2024 before surfacing does not make it any less dangerous today. If any of these 7,033 people still use the same password that was captured back then, an attacker can use credential stuffing to try it on email, banking, or social media logins right now. That can lead directly to account takeover, identity theft, and financial fraud, and identity theft becomes easier the longer stolen credentials sit unnoticed.
How Stealer Logs Work
A stealer log is created when malware, often hidden inside a cracked program, fake download, or malicious attachment, infects a device and quietly collects everything saved in the browser: usernames, passwords, autofill data, and browsing history. That data is packaged into a log file and can sit unused for months or years before being shared, sold, or in this case given away for free on a Telegram channel.
