Back in December 2022, a stealer log labeled "602K UHQ Streaming Netflix and Movie data" began circulating on a Telegram channel that trades harvested login credentials. The file contains 585,202 sets of data, email addresses, plaintext passwords, and the URLs of the streaming and movie accounts they unlock, all pulled from devices infected with information-stealing malware.

A 2022 Leak That Still Matters in 2026

More than three years separate the date this log first appeared and today, and that gap is exactly why it deserves attention now. Passwords do not expire on their own. If any of these 585,202 accounts never changed their login after 2022, the credentials in this file are still valid right now. And even where a Netflix or streaming password has since changed, the danger has not disappeared, plenty of people reuse the same password across email, banking, and shopping accounts for years at a time.

What Was Exposed

  • Email addresses
  • Plaintext passwords
  • URLs of the streaming and movie accounts those logins access

Why This Matters

Because these passwords were stored and stolen in plaintext, no cracking is needed to use them, they are ready to go the moment someone downloads the file. Attackers run automated credential stuffing attempts against email providers, banks, and retailers using exactly this kind of data. A password that started out protecting a Netflix account can become the key to a much more damaging account takeover, identity theft, or financial fraud if it was ever reused elsewhere.

How This Streaming Data Leak Happened

Logs like this one come from information-stealing malware that infects a device, often through pirated software, a fake streaming app, or a cracked download, exactly the kind of file someone hunting for free Netflix access might install. The malware quietly copies every saved password from the browser, along with the web address it belongs to, and sends the results back to whoever controls it. Those results get bundled into a single file and posted to Telegram, where it can keep resurfacing and getting redistributed for years, as this one has.

Check If You Are Affected

A leak from 2022 is not too old to matter, especially if you have not changed your passwords since. HEROIC's free breach scanner checks your email against more than 400 billion leaked and breached records, including older stealer logs like this one, and tells you instantly if you are affected. If you get a match, change that password now, update it anywhere else you reused it, and turn on two-factor authentication wherever it is available.
