AirBENDER CLOUD Gave Attackers 8,427 Ready-to-Use Credentials
HEROIC analysts identified the AirBENDER CLOUD stealer log after a Telegram user distributed the file in July 2023. The dataset contains 8,427 records harvested from infected devices, exposing email addresses, plaintext passwords, and the URLs of sites where credentials were captured. With this data in hand, an attacker has everything needed to begin compromising accounts immediately, with no additional effort required.
What the AirBENDER CLOUD Data Lets Attackers Do Right Now
Each record in the AirBENDER CLOUD dataset is a complete attack package: an email address, a working plaintext password, and the URL of the site it belongs to. An attacker can load these into credential stuffing tools and begin testing them against banking portals, email providers, and corporate login pages within minutes. No cracking is required. No guessing is needed. The plaintext passwords and specific URLs eliminate every barrier between the attacker and a successful account login.
What Was Exposed in the AirBENDER CLOUD Upload
- Email Addresses
- Plaintext Passwords
- URLs (targeting exactly which services victims were using)
Why This Matters for Account Takeover and Fraud
With 8,427 usable credential sets available from a single upload, attackers have substantial material for automated campaigns. Credential stuffing attacks powered by data like AirBENDER CLOUD routinely result in drained bank accounts, hijacked email identities, fraudulent purchases, and unauthorized corporate network access. Because most people reuse passwords across services, each record can potentially unlock multiple accounts beyond the one where the password was originally captured.
How Stealer Log Malware Collects Credentials
Information stealers infect devices through phishing emails, cracked software, and malicious downloads. Once installed, the malware runs invisibly and extracts saved credentials, browser cookies, and autofill data from every site the victim accesses. This data is packaged into a structured log file and sent back to the attacker. Files like AirBENDER CLOUD are then distributed on Telegram channels and dark web forums, putting the captured credentials in front of many potential attackers at once.
