3,398 Accounts Exposed in the APRIL 10 Stealer Log

HEROIC analysts found a stealer log file, labeled "APRIL 10 - 2118 LOGS.part2," uploaded to a Telegram channel. The data was leaked on 09 May 2024 and contains 3,398 records taken from infected devices, including email addresses, plaintext passwords, and the URLs of the accounts those logins open.

Why This Is Dangerous

This file was not taken from a company database. It was harvested directly from individual victims' computers by malware that quietly recorded their saved passwords as they logged in. Each record pairs a real, working password with the exact site it unlocks, so an attacker does not need to guess or crack anything to log in as the victim.

What Was Exposed

  • Email addresses
  • Plaintext passwords
  • URLs of the sites the credentials were used on

Why This Matters

Even at 3,398 records, this file is dangerous because every credential in it is live and stored in plaintext. If anyone in this file reused their password on another account, banking, email, or social media, an attacker can try that same combination elsewhere in seconds. This is exactly how credential stuffing, account takeover, and identity theft typically begin.

How Stealer Log Leaks Like This Happen

Stealer logs are produced by information stealing malware that infects a device through a cracked download, a malicious attachment, or a fake update prompt. Once installed, it quietly reads saved browser passwords, autofill data, and session details, then sends everything back to whoever controls the malware. Logs like this one are often split into numbered parts, such as part2, and shared through Telegram channels where anyone can download them.
