BabaCloudLogs Leak Exposed 15,021 Cloud Login Credentials on Telegram
HEROIC analysts flagged a stealer log named BabaCloudLogs after it surfaced on a Telegram channel on August 21, 2025. The file held 15,021 records harvested from infected devices, pairing email addresses with plaintext passwords and the URLs of the cloud services and login pages those credentials open.
Why the BabaCloudLogs Leak Is Dangerous
Because the passwords in this file were stored in plaintext, no cracking or decryption is needed to use them. Each record also includes the specific URL the credential belongs to, so an attacker does not have to guess where to try a stolen login. Given the file's name references cloud logs, several of the exposed URLs likely point to cloud service or admin login pages, which can carry far more access than a single social media account.
What the BabaCloudLogs Stealer Log Exposed
- Email addresses
- Plaintext passwords
- URLs for the associated login pages and cloud services
Why This Matters for Account Takeover and Credential Stuffing
Password reuse is what turns a small stealer log into a big problem. Criminals feed leaked email and password pairs into automated tools that try the same combination across banking sites, email providers, and cloud dashboards. This is called credential stuffing, and it succeeds whenever someone has reused a password from a compromised device. Once an attacker is in, they can lock the real owner out, drain linked accounts, or use the access for further fraud and identity theft.
How Stealer Log Breaches Like BabaCloudLogs Happen
A stealer log is produced by infostealer malware that infects a device and quietly copies whatever is stored in the browser: saved passwords, autofill data, and the addresses of the sites those logins belong to. The malware sends this data back to whoever controls it, and it often ends up shared or sold on Telegram channels like the one where this file appeared. Because the theft happens on the victim's device, the log can contain credentials for many unrelated services, not just one company's systems.
