The BabaCloudLogs Leak: 16,846 Passwords Exposed

HEROIC analysts identified a stealer log uploaded to a public Telegram channel on July 27, 2025. Labeled BabaCloudLogs 240 Cloud Logs, the file contains 16,846 records tied to United States based accounts, made up of email addresses, plaintext passwords, and the URLs each credential is tied to.

Why This Is Dangerous

Every password in this file is stored in plaintext, so there is nothing to crack and nothing to decrypt. Each email address is already matched to its real password and the exact site it opens, meaning anyone who has this file can log straight into an account without any extra effort at all.

What Was Exposed in the BabaCloudLogs Dump

  • Email addresses
  • Plaintext passwords
  • URLs tied to each set of credentials

Why This Matters

Plaintext passwords mapped to specific web addresses are exactly what fuels credential stuffing, where stolen email and password pairs are automatically tested against banks, email providers, and other popular services. Anyone among the 16,846 exposed accounts who reused a password elsewhere faces real risk of account takeover, identity theft, and financial fraud stemming directly from this leak.

How Stealer Log Breaches Work

A stealer log is produced by infostealer malware that infects a device through a malicious download, cracked software, or a phishing link. Once installed, it reads saved usernames, passwords, and the web addresses tied to them straight from the browser, then bundles it all into a single file. That file is then uploaded to Telegram channels and underground marketplaces, exactly where HEROIC analysts found this BabaCloudLogs dump.
