The Black Logs BlackClouud 2 stealer log, dated September 7, 2026, lists 1,504 plaintext logins, and HEROIC analysts logged each one as an email address, a password and a URL. A scan of your email shows whether any of them belong to you.

Plain Text Means Nothing Stands in the Way

Nothing protects a password that is written out in full. Whoever opens this file reads the password beside the email address and the site it was saved for. There is no hash to crack and no lock to pick, so the gap between holding a line and using it is a single sign-in attempt.

Contents of the Log

  • Email addresses, each one the sign-in name for a saved login.
  • Plaintext passwords, stored in readable form.
  • URLs, the addresses of the pages where the logins were saved.

How a Single Row Gets Used

A person or a tool reads a row, opens the named page and enters the email and password. If the pair fits, the login is open, and anything stored behind it is within reach: messages, orders, saved cards or contact lists. A row that fits a mailbox is a direct route to password resets elsewhere.

Where These Lines Come From

Lines like these are written by malware that has infected a person's own device. The program reads the browser's saved logins, packs them into a file and sends it to its operator. The named sites played no part in the leak, which is why a password reset on the site alone does not close the gap when the device remains infected.

Should You Check This Log for Your Address?

To find out, scan your email and see your information. Where your address appears, clean or reset the affected device before touching passwords, then replace them from a clean machine, beginning with email and banking. Give each login its own password, so one leak cannot spread to the rest. Run the scan once for your personal address and again for your work address.
