In May 2023, a Telegram user distributed Bugatti_Cloud Bugatti_Man 17.05.part014, a stealer log containing 17,967 records pulled directly from infected users' devices. Every entry includes an email address, a plaintext password, and the exact URL that password was used on. HEROIC analysts confirmed this as Part014 of the Bugatti_Cloud series, the fourteenth file in a sustained infostealer campaign that has been harvesting and distributing browser credentials at scale. If you saved passwords in a browser on a device that was ever infected, your credentials could be among the 17,967 now circulating in the hands of cybercriminals on Telegram and dark web marketplaces.

Why This Is Dangerous

There is no protection barrier between this data and an attacker. Every password in this dataset is plaintext, site-matched, and ready to use immediately. Attackers who acquire Part014 do not need to crack a hash, guess a site, or test credentials blindly. Each record tells them the email address, the password, and the exact login page it unlocks. Automated account takeover tools can process thousands of these pairs per minute, testing them against banking portals, email providers, cloud storage services, and workplace systems simultaneously. The window between a stealer log being downloaded and the first account being compromised is extremely short -- often less than an hour.

What Was Exposed

  • Email Addresses
  • Plaintext Passwords
  • URLs (each password pre-matched to the specific login page it belongs to)

Why This Matters

17,967 is not an abstract number. Each record represents a real person whose live login credentials were silently extracted from their device and handed to an attacker. If your password was reused across multiple sites, one infected device means multiple accounts are at risk simultaneously. The downstream effects are serious and often compound quickly:

  • Credential stuffing: Stolen pairs tested automatically across dozens of platforms at once
  • Account takeover: Successful logins used to lock you out and drain accounts or steal more data
  • Financial fraud: Plaintext banking and payment credentials exploited before you can react
  • Identity theft: Data agregated across multiple Bugatti_Cloud parts builds full victim profiles

How Stealer Log Malware Works

Stealer log infections are designed to be invisible. The malware reaches devices through fake software installers, phishing attachments, malicious browser extensions, and cracked application downloads. Once active, it reads your browser's local password store -- the same database that Chrome, Firefox, and Edge use to remember your logins -- and copies every saved credential along with the associated URL. It also captures active session cookies, which can grant access to accounts without a password at all. Everything is packaged into a structured log file and transmited back to the attacker's server within seconds. The attacker then sorts, packages, and releases these logs in numbered batches on Telegram channels, where cybercriminals subsrcibe and download fresh credential dumps as each new part is released. Part014 is one of those batches.
