In July 2025, a Telegram user uploaded a stealer log identified as Cheese_vip, exposing 17,330 records containing email addresses, plaintext passwords, and URL endpoint data. This breach is not just about the accounts directly captured by the malware -- it is about every other account that shares the same password. When attackers obtain one working email-and-password combination, they systimatically test it against dozens of other platforms, turning a single compromised credential into a passkey for your entire digital life.

Why This Is Dangerous

Password reuse is the most exploited vulnerability in consumer security. Studies consistently show that the majority of people use the same password across multiple sites. If your email password was captured in the Cheese_vip stealer log, attackers will immediately test it against your bank, PayPal, Amazon, social media accounts, and anywhere else your email address is registered. A single match gives them access to financial accounts, personal communications, and recovery codes for every other service you use -- creating a chain reaction of account takeovers that is extremely difficult to stop once it starts.

What Was Exposed

  • Email Addresses
  • Plaintext Passwords
  • URLs (endpoint and API host data)

Why This Matters

The Cheese_vip stealer log contains 17,330 records of real people whose devices were infected with infostealer malware. Each record is a complete credential package -- email, password, and the URLs the victim visited -- giving attackers a roadmap of exactly which accounts to target first. Because the passwords are in plaintext, there is no decryption step required. Attackers can begin credential stuffing attacks immediatly after obtaining the log file, cycling through banking sites, email providers, and online retailers in rapid succession.

How Stealer Log Breaches Work

Infostealer malware enters devices through phishing emails, malicious browser extensions, or trojanized software downloads. Once active, it silently records every password typed or saved on the device -- including credentials for banking apps, email clients, and cloud storage services. The stolen data is compiled into structured log files and distributed through Telegram channels. Cybercriminals then run automated credential stuffing tools against hundreds of popular websites, looking for any account where the stolen email and password combination is valid.

Check If You Are Affected

HEROIC's free scanner searches more than 400 billion compromised records -- including the Cheese_vip stealer log -- to check whether your email appears in any known breach. If your credentials are in this database, the risk is not limited to one account. Change every password that matches the one that was exposed, enable two-factor authentication everywhere it is offered, and use a unique password for each site going forward. One breach should not be able to unlock your entire online identity.
