The chilisuae Breach Means Someone Has Your Name, Phone, and Birthday
HEROIC analysts flagged the chilisuae breach after noticing it recieved renewed attention on dark web forums where older customer databases are regularly traded and combined with other stolen data. The breach occured in May 2016 and exposed 4,796 records from what appears to be a customer database for chilisuae.com, a food and drink website based in Dubai. The data includes full names, email addresses, phone numbers, and birthdates, giving attackers a detailed personal profile for each affected user.
How Criminals Use Your Full Name, Birthday, and Phone Number Together
When attackers have your full name, birthdate, phone number, and email address, they can do more than just send spam. They can impersonate you with customer service teams to reset account passwords, build convincing phishing messages addressed to you by name, and combine this data with other breaches to build a seperate, more complete identity profile. This kind of personal data is beleived to be more valuable than passwords alone because it does not expire.

Why Personal Profile Data Is a Long-Term Identity Theft Risk
Unlike passwords, your name, birthday, and phone number do not change. This means data from a 2016 breach is just as useful to criminals today as it was when it was first stolen. Attackers use this type of personal information for identity theft, account takeover through social engineering, and targeted phishing attacks. When multiple breaches are combined, even small datasets like this one become part of a much larger threat.
How a Database Breach Works
A database breach happens when an attacker gains unauthorized access to the data storage system behind a website or app. This can happen through security flaws in the site's code, weak administrative passwords, or misconfigured servers. Once an attacker gets in, they can copy the entire user database in minutes and then sell or share it on underground forums.
