One Verified CPanel Login Surfaces on Telegram

HEROIC analysts identified a combolist file labeled "CPanel_Valid," uploaded to a Telegram channel and dated March 19, 2026. Unlike most combolists, which bundle thousands of records, this file contains a single verified record: one email address paired with a plaintext password and a URL pointing to a cPanel login page.

Why This Is Dangerous

A single record does not mean a single victim. cPanel is the control panel many hosting providers use to manage entire websites, meaning whoever holds this credential can potentially access domain settings, email accounts, databases, and every file on the server behind it. The "Valid" label in the file's name signals that the credential has already been tested and confirmed to work, making this a ready-to-use key rather than a guess.

What Was Exposed

  • Email address
  • Plaintext password
  • URL to the cPanel login

Why This Matters

Credential leaks are not always about volume. A single working cPanel login can be used to plant malware on a website, redirect visitors to phishing pages, steal customer data stored on the server, or hijack email accounts tied to the domain. Because website administrators frequently reuse passwords across hosting panels, personal email, and other services, this one exposed credential could unlock far more than a single account.

How Validated Combolist Entries Like This Are Created

A combolist is typically a batch of email-and-password pairs, but entries labeled "Valid" have been separated out because someone has already confirmed the login works. Criminals harvest these credentials through phishing, malware infections, or by testing older leaked passwords against hosting control panels, then isolate the confirmed hits, like this cPanel login, for resale or targeted attacks on Telegram channels and dark web forums.

Check If You Are Affected

If you manage a website or hosting account, it is worth checking whether your credentials have surfaced in a leak like this one. HEROIC's free breach scanner searches a database of more than 400 billion leaked records, so you can check your exposure and change any at-risk passwords before an attacker gets to your server first.
