The passwords in the Cracked_Cloud stealer log are stored in plain text, so there is no hash to crack and no delay before they can be used. HEROIC analysts logged 10,858 records, each with an email address, a plaintext password and a URL, in a file dated September 2, 2026. Scan your email to learn whether yours is among them.

Why Plain Text Changes the Picture

When passwords are protected by a hash, an attacker needs time and computing power to recover them. This file removes that barrier. Anyone holding it can read each password directly and test it against the site named in the record. None of the three fields in a record is hidden or scrambled.

Fields in Each of the 10,858 Records

  • Email addresses, which serve as usernames and receive reset messages.
  • Plaintext passwords, stored in the clear and usable without any extra step.
  • URLs, naming the site where each login applies.

Account Takeover, Identity Theft and Fraud Start Here

A matched login opens the account it belongs to. When the password is reused, the same login opens others, and an email inbox is the prize because it controls resets for everything else. Identity theft and fraudulent payments follow once an attacker is inside.

How a Stealer Log Is Put Together

Malware on a victim's own device copies the logins saved in the browser and sends them to an operator. The operator sorts the results into a file like Cracked_Cloud. The theft happens on the device, which is why cleaning it matters as much as changing passwords. A device that stays infected keeps handing over whatever it saves, so a password changed before the clean-up can be copied again.

Is Your Address Listed?

A scan answers the question: scan your email and see your information. If your address matches, clean or reset the infected device first, then change passwords from a clean device, starting with email and banking. Check any work address the same way.
