CRYPTON_TXT Breach: 1.5M Passwords Now Open to Attackers
CRYPTON_TXT Leak Puts 1.5 Million Logins in Attacker Hands
HEROIC analysts uncovered a stealer log file named "CRYPTON_TXT 02.10" that was uploaded to Telegram in November 2025. The file contains 1,556,320 records collected from infected devices, including email addresses, plaintext passwords, and the exact URLs those credentials unlock. This is one of the larger stealer log dumps HEROIC has tracked in recent months.
Why This Is Dangerous
Each record in this file pairs a person's email, their password in readable plaintext, and the website it logs into. An attacker does not have to crack anything or run any tools. They simply copy the login and paste it into the site listed, and they are in. That kind of ready-made access is exactly why these logs sell so quickely on dark web forums.
What Was Exposed
- Email addresses
- Plaintext passwords
- Login URLs tied to each account
The Chained Risk: One Password, Many Doors
The real danger with a leak this large is not just the first account that gets accessed, it is everything connected to it. Most people reuse passwords across email, banking, and shopping accounts. Once an attacker gets into one account, they often use it to reset passwords on others, turning a single leaked password into a chain reaction across a person's entire online life.
This chain reaction is how a single stolen login becomes credential stuffing, then account takeover, then identity theft, and eventually financial fraud, all stemming from one exposed record in a file like this one.
How Stealer Logs Work
Stealer logs come from info-stealer malware that infects a device through fake downloads, pirated software, or malicious attachments. Once installed, it quietly pulls saved passwords, autofill data, and browser cookies straight from the victim's machine. Everything the malware finds, including the site name, username, and password, gets bundled into a text file like CRYPTON_TXT and handed off or sold to whoever wants it.
