In April 2024, HEROIC analysts identified a stealer log titled "DarknesCloud 27.04 Free logs PASSWORD ON THE CHANNEL.part2" shared on Telegram. The file contained 7,126 records made up of email addresses, plaintext passwords, and the URLs where each credential was captured.

Why This Is Dangerous

Stealer logs like this one come directly from malware that ran on an infected device, recording whatever a person typed or had saved in their browser. Because the passwords are already in plaintext and matched to the exact website each one belongs to, an attacker does not need to guess or crack anything. They can simply log in.

What Was Exposed

  • Email addresses
  • Plaintext passwords
  • URLs

Why This Matters

If your credentials are in this log, an attacker already has a working username, password, and the exact site to use them on. That combination is enough for account takeover on email, banking, or shopping accounts, and it can lead to financial fraud or identity theft, especially if the password has not been changed since April 2024.

How This Stealer Log Was Created

A stealer log is produced by information-stealing malware that infects a computer, often through a fake download, cracked software, or a malicious email attachment. Once running, it quietly harvests saved passwords, browser cookies, and autofill data, then packages everything into a file like this one and sends it back to whoever controls the malware. Files like this are frequently resold or shared for free on Telegram channels, exactly how this one surfaced.
