DVDCLOUDFREE Leak: 12,625 Logins Exposed in Plaintext

HEROIC analysts confirmed a stealer log called DVDCLOUDFREE, uploaded by a Telegram user, as a genuine leak. It contains 12,625 records, each pairing an email address with a plaintext password and the URL of the site that login was used on. The leak is dated February 19, 2024.

Why the DVDCLOUDFREE Leak Is Dangerous

Because none of the 12,625 passwords in this file are encrypted, they can be read and used the moment someone downloads the log. Each record also comes with the exact web address it was stolen from, so an attacker knows precisely which account to try first, and can move on to other sites if the password was reused.

What Was Exposed in the DVDCLOUDFREE File

  • Email addresses
  • Plaintext passwords
  • Associated login URLs

Why This Matters Even if You Don't Recognize the Name

You don't have to remember visiting a site called DVDCLOUDFREE to be affected. Stealer logs collect credentials from every site saved in an infected browser, so the risk here comes from password reuse and credential stuffing across unrelated accounts, which is how a single infection turns into identity theft or financial fraud far beyond the original target.

How the DVDCLOUDFREE Log Was Likely Collected

This kind of file is produced by information-stealing malware running on a victim's computer, quietly copying saved logins out of the browser along with the site each one belongs to. The completed log is then uploaded to Telegram, where it can be shared or sold to other criminals.
