HEROIC analysts identified the Emulation Galaxy (EmuGlx) database breach, dated February 2021, affecting the Serbian gaming news platform. The breach occured when 5,246 user records were compromised, exposing email addresses, usernames, and gender details for members of the EmuGlx community.

How Exposed Usernames and Emails Enable Account Takeover

Even without passwords in the dump, knowing a user's email and username is accessable to attackers opens the door to targeted phishing and credential stuffing using passwords from other breaches. Attackers combine data from multiple leaks, meaning EmuGlx users who reused login details on other platforms are partcularly at risk.
