Records Exposed 1
Source Type Stealer log
Origin United States
Password Type plaintext

In November 2025, HEROIC analysts identified the Good_Magento stealer log being shared in a Telegram channel used for credential trading. The file exposed 1 record containing a plaintext email address, a plaintext password, and the URL of a Magento e-commerce installation where the credential was captured. While a single record, Magento admin access represents one of the highest-value credential types in circulation -- direct control over an entire online store and its customer data.

Why This Is Dangerous

A single stolen Magento admin credential is enough to cause a catastrophic breach. Magento powers hundreds of thousands of online stores worldwide. An attacker with valid admin access can view all customer orders and payment data, extract the full customer database, install malicious code that skims credit card numbers from the checkout page, and completely take over the store's operations. Because Magento stores process real financial transactions and hold personal customer information, even one compromised login can result in regulatory penalties, financial fraud affecting hundreds of customers, and the destruction of a business's reputation.

What Was Exposed in the Good_Magento Stealer Log

  • Email address linked to a Magento admin account
  • Plaintext password -- unencrypted and directly usable
  • URL identifying the exact Magento store installation that was targeted

Why Magento Store Owner Data May Already Be Compromised

By the time a credential appears in a Telegram stealer log, the original theft has already occurred. The Good_Magento file did not create the breach -- it announced it. The Magento store owner's computer was likely infected weeks or months earlier, and the credential was harvested silently at that time. When this file appeared on Telegram, it meant the stolen credential was now available to anyone in that criminal community. Magento credentials with admin access command premium value because they allow buyers to operate card skimming operations on live stores, affecting real customers who have no idea their payment details are being stolen at checkout. The credential stuffing risk is also real: the same email and password may work on other services the store owner uses.

How Infostealers Target E-Commerce Platform Credentials Like Magento

E-commerce store owners are specifically targeted by infostealer malware because their devices hold credentials to systems that process real money. Infostealer infections typically arrive through phishing emails disguised as supplier invoices or order notifications, malicious plugins for Magento or related tools, or compromized software downloaded for business use. Once running on the owner's computer, the malware harvests every saved password in the browser -- including Magento admin logins -- and sends them to the attacker's collection infrastructure. Files labeled Good_Magento are frequently filtered subsets of larger stealer log dumps, packaged for buyers who want e-commerce access. The victem has no warning until the damage is done.
