7,196 Login Credentials Exposed in the HarmonyCloud Stealer Log

HEROIC analysts found a stealer log file, labeled "HarmonyCloud 395," uploaded to a Telegram channel. The data was leaked on 02 May 2024 and contains 7,196 records taken from infected devices, including email addresses, plaintext passwords, and the URLs of the accounts those credentials open.

Why This Is Dangerous

This file was not stolen from a single company's servers. It was pulled directly off victims' own computers by malware that quietly recorded their saved logins. Each record pairs a working password with the exact site it unlocks, so an attacker does not have to crack or guess anything. They can simply plug the credentials into the listed URL and log in as the victim.

What Was Exposed

  • Email addresses
  • Plaintext passwords
  • URLs of the sites the credentials were used on

Why This Matters

With 7,196 plaintext credentials in this file, attackers have a ready made list for automated login attempts across banking sites, email accounts, and social media platforms. Anyone who reused their password from one of these accounts on another site is exposed to credential stuffing, account takeover, identity theft, and financial fraud.

How Stealer Log Leaks Like This Happen

Stealer logs come from information stealing malware that infects a device through a cracked software download, a malicious attachment, or a fake update prompt. Once installed, the malware silently reads saved browser passwords, autofill data, and session details, then packages everything into a file under the HarmonyCloud name. These files are then shared or sold through Telegram channels and dark web forums, often numbered to distinguish separate batches.
