Another Telegram Combolist Leak: 1,269 Hotmail Accounts Exposed

HEROIC analysts found a file titled "Hotmail uploaded by a Telegram User" circulating on Telegram on 13 July 2026. The combolist contains 1,269 records pairing email addresses with plaintext passwords, plus associated URLs, handing anyone who downloads it a working set of Hotmail account logins.

Why This Is Dangerous

The passwords in this leak are stored in plaintext, so no cracking or guessing is required. Whoever has this file can log into the affected Hotmail accounts immediately. If any of the 1,269 victims reused that password on another site, an attacker can try it there too and potentially take over email, banking, or social media accounts.

What Was Exposed

  • Email addresses
  • Plaintext passwords
  • Associated URLs

Why This Matters

Combolists are the raw fuel for credential stuffing attacks, in which automated tools test each stolen email and password pair against many popular websites at once. A single reused password can cascade into a compromised email account, drained financial accounts, or a hijacked social media profile, especially since email inboxes are often used to reset passwords elsewhere.

How a Combolist Leak Works

A combolist bundles together login credentials, an email or username paired with a password, gathered from earlier breaches, phishing pages, or malware infections and repackaged into a single file. Telegram has become a common distribution point for these lists because uploads are quick, free, and difficult for platforms to police. Once shared, a combolist can spread rapidly among opportunistic attackers looking for easy account access.

Check If You Are Affected

If you have a Hotmail or Outlook account, or if you tend to reuse passwords across sites, it is worth checking whether your credentials appear in this leak. HEROIC's free breach scanner checks your email against a database of more than 400 billion leaked records, so you can find out instantly and update any exposed passwords before they are used against you.
