KURZL0GS_UP Stealer Log Targets US Users

HEROIC analysts tracked a stealer log labeled KURZL0GS_UP, uploaded to a Telegram channel on 24 July 2026 as part of a "fresh" batch aimed largely at users in the United States. The file contains 29,350 records taken directly from infected devices, including email addresses, plaintext passwords, and the URLs of the accounts those passwords unlock. Being marketed as "fresh" suggests the data was collected recently, which typically means the credentials inside are more likely to still be active.

Why This Stealer Log Is Dangerous

Because this log pairs each email and password with the specific website it belongs to, an attacker doesn't need to figure out where a stolen credential works. They can go straight to the matching login page and try it. With 29,350 records to work through, even a modest success rate hands criminals a sizable batch of accounts they can access immediately, without cracking a single password.

What Was Exposed

  • Email addresses belonging to affected US users
  • Plaintext passwords for those accounts
  • URLs showing exactly which sites the credentials unlock

Why This Matters

The biggest immediate risk here is account takeover, since attackers have everything they need to log in directly with no extra effort. There's also a strong credential stuffing risk: because many people reuse the same email and password combination across different sites, a credential lifted from this log could just as easily open a victim's email, banking, or shopping account as the one it was originally stolen from.

How Stealer Logs Work

Stealer logs are generated by malware that infects a device, often disguised as a game cheat, cracked software, or a fake update, and then quietly harvests saved browser passwords and autofill data. The malware packages this information, usernames, passwords, and the sites they belong to, into a single file, which is then labeled and distributed, in this case through a Telegram channel promoting it as a "fresh" batch to attract buyers.
