On November 17, 2024, a threat actor operating under the name FATHER121 posted a massive stealer log to LeakBase, a well-known underground data sharing forum. The log, titled "36,790,387 Lines Fresh Lines Valid Private Ulp @Rlreborn P34," contained approximately 36.9 million total records. Within that dataset, 8,278,365 unique email addresses were identified, each paired with a plaintext password and a homepage URL. The scale of this dump places it among the larger infostealer log releases of late 2024, and the presence of readily usable plaintext credentials makes it immediately dangerous for affected users.

Why This Is Dangerous

Stealer logs sourced from infostealer malware are uniquely hazardous compared to hashed database breaches. The credentials in this dataset were captured directly from compromised browsers and applications on victims' own machines, meaning they were valid and in active use at the time of theft. No cracking is required. Attackers can load these email-password pairs into automated tools and begin testing them against banks, email providers, and retail platforms within minutes of downloading the log.

What Was Exposed

  • Email addresses: 8,278,365 unique accounts confirmed in the dataset
  • Plaintext passwords: Directly usable without decryption or cracking
  • Homepage URLs: Revealing the services or sites targeted during credential harvesting
  • Total raw records: Approximately 36.9 million lines across the full log
  • Date of leak: November 17, 2024
  • Platform: LeakBase, RLREBORN forum channel

Why This Matters

When plaintext credentials from infostealer logs reach underground markets, the downstream effects are severe and widespread:

  • Credential stuffing: Automated bots cycle through these email-password combinations across hundreds of popular services, exploiting password reuse to gain unauthorized access.
  • Account takeover: Attackers who successfully log in change account recovery details, locking out the legitimate owner and using the account for fraud or further attacks.
  • Identity theft: Access to a primary email account gives attackers the ability to reset passwords on banking, healthcare, and government portals linked to the same address.
  • Targeted fraud: Homepage URLs in the log reveal which platforms a victim used, enabling convincing spear-phishing messages designed to extract additional sensitive information.

How Stealer Malware Works

Infostealer malware reaches victims through phishing lures, pirated software, malicious browser extensions, and drive-by downloads. Once executing on a device, it systematically extracts saved browser credentials, session cookies, autofill data, and application login tokens. This data is bundled into structured log files and silently uploaded to attacker-controlled infrastructure. These logs are then packaged and sold or posted on platforms like LeakBase, where buyers use them for account takeover operations, resale, or credential stuffing campaigns at scale.

Check If You Are Affected

The Heroic Data Breach Search Engine indexes over 400 billion records from thousands of breach events, including stealer log datasets like the LeakBase RLREBORN dump. If your email address appears in this or any related dataset, you will see it immediately. Early detection gives you the window to change passwords, enable multi-factor authentication, and revoke active sessions before attackers can act.
