MetaCloud Leak of 423,559 Logins Puts Accounts at Risk of Takeover
The file circulating as "MetaCloudVipNew 500 K LINE" promised half a million lines when it hit Telegram, and after review it held 423,559 genuine login records made up of email addresses, plaintext passwords, and the URLs tied to each one.
Why This Is Dangerous
This leak puts everyone inside it at risk of account takeover on more than just the original site the credentials were captured from. Once a password is exposed in plaintext, attackers definately try it everywhere else the victim might have an account.
What Was Exposed
- 423,559 total records
- Email Addresses
- Plaintext Passwords
- URLs for each login
Why This Matters
Account takeover is only the first domino. From there, attackers can lock the real owner out, drain linked payment methods, or use a hijacked account to scam the victim's own contacts. A seperate risk comes from credential stuffing tools that automatically test these exact email and password pairs across hundreds of other websites within minutes.
How Stealer Logs Work
Malware quietly infects a device, harvests saved browser credentials and the URLs they belong to, and reports the haul back to the attacker running it. That data then gets bundled into a log, labeled MetaCloudVipNew in this case, and shared through Telegram.
