A Telegram user uploaded a stealer log on October 31, 2023 containing 28,820 records tied to Monster Cloud Free 2, an endpoint management platform. At nearly 29,000 records, this was not a small-scale dump. The file included plaintext passwords, email addresses, and internal URLs, giving whoever downloaded it immediate and frictionless access to a large pool of potentially reusable credentials. By the time it was identifed and flagged, the file had already been circulating for days.

Why This Is Dangerous

With 28,820 plaintext password and email pairs in the wild, the immediate threat is automated credential stuffing. Attackers run these combinations against other services -- email, payroll platforms, cloud storage, banking apps -- at scale and at speed. Monster Cloud Free 2 may be a free-tier service, but the people who used it also use Gmail, Slack, AWS, and their company VPN. Those acounts are all now higher-risk because of this dump.

What Was Exposed

  • 28,820 total records leaked
  • Email addresses tied to Monster Cloud Free 2 accounts
  • Plaintext (unencrypted) passwords
  • Internal endpoint URLs and API host addresses
  • Data posted to Telegram on October 31, 2023

Why This Matters

The volume here matters. Nearly 29,000 records means a significant user base was affected -- and plaintext storage means every single password is immediately usable. No cracking, no decryption, no delay. For organisations whose staff used Monster Cloud Free 2, this is a direct corporate security risk if any of those passwords were shared or reused on work accounts. The presence of internal URLs also suggests some records came from inside corporate networks, making this more than just a consumer credential leak.

How Stealer Log Breaches Work

Infostealer malware gets onto a device via a phishing email, a fake software crack, or a malicious browser extension. Once installed, it silently collects every credential it can reach -- stored browser passwords, autofill data, app login tokens, clipboard contents. The harvested records are packaged into a log file and uploaded to Telegram channels that specialize in free or paid credential sharing. The Monster Cloud Free 2 log was distributted this way, giving anyone following those Telegram channels immediate access to nearly 29,000 usable login pairs.
