In August 2025, HEROIC analysts found a file named mymidlincoln.com.txt circulating in a Telegram channel run by an anonymous uploader. Rather then a random grab bag of stolen data, this file was sorted specifically around the domain mymidlincoln.com, and it contains 2,196 records of email addresses, plaintext passwords, and login URLs belonging to people who had accounts on that site.

Why a Domain Sorted Leak Like mymidlincoln.com Is Dangerous

Stealer logs that are organized by website, rather then just dumped in raw form, are actually more dangerous for the people in them. Sorting the data this way means an attacker does not have to search through anything, they can open the file and immediately have a ready made list of working usernames and passwords for one specific site. That kind of organization is often a sign the data is being prepared for resale to someone planning a targeted attack.

What Was Exposed in the mymidlincoln.com Leak

  • Email addresses used to log into the site
  • Plaintext passwords stored without encryption
  • The exact login URL tied to each account
  • Credentials harvested directly from infected devices

Why This Matters for the 2,196 Accounts Involved

Even a small, targeted leak like this one carries real risk. Attackers frequently test these email and password combinations against other popular sites in a tactic called credential stuffing, betting that at least some of the 2,196 people reused the same password elsewhere. That single reused password can open the door to account takeover, identity theft, and financial fraud on completely unrelated accounts.

How This Stealer Log Leak Took Shape

Stealer log malware infects a device through phishing links, cracked software, or malicious downloads, then quietly collects saved passwords, autofill data, and browser cookies. Criminals often sort these logs by the website domain found inside them, creating files like mymidlincoln.com.txt so buyers can purchase credentials for one specific target instead of sifting through a massive unsorted dump. These sorted files are then traded or sold in Telegram channels and dark web forums.
