In late August 2025, HEROIC analysts flagged a small combolist named Ok that had been uploaded to Telegram. The file held 480 records combining email addresses with plaintext passwords, alongside URLs pointing to the sites those logins belonged to. The data was verified as of August 24, 2025.

Why a Short List of Plaintext Passwords Is Still Dangerous

At 480 records, this leak is far smaller than the mega-breaches that make headlines, but the risk to each person on the list is just as real. Because the passwords were captured and shared in plaintext, no cracking or decryption is needed. Anyone who downloads the file can try each email and password combination right away, and if a person reused that password elsewhere, the damage spreads well beyond the original account.

What Was Exposed in the Ok Combolist

  • Email addresses
  • Plaintext passwords
  • URLs tied to each set of credentials

Why This Matters

Small combolists circulate on Telegram precisely because they are quick to test. Attackers run the email and password pairs through automated tools against banking portals, email providers, and social media, a method known as credential stuffing. A single successful match can open the door to account takeover, identity theft, or financial fraud, even from a list this size.

How Combolists Like This One Are Assembled

A combolist is a compiled set of login pairs, usually gathered from older breaches, malware infections, or manual credential testing and then repackaged for sale or free distribution. Telegram channels have become a popular place to trade these files because they let a seller reach buyers instantly with no vetting. The URLs bundled with each entry in this leak tell a buyer exactly where to try the credentials first.

Check If You Are Affected

Small leaks like this one are easy to overlook, but they are often the first domino in a bigger credential-stuffing attack. HEROIC's free breach scanner checks your email against a database of more than 400 billion leaked records, including this one, so you can find out quickly and change any exposed passwords before they are used against you.
