One Telegram Channel. One Stealer Log. 34,510 Passwords Exposed.
HEROIC analysts identified a stealer log uploaded to a single public Telegram channel on January 1, 2025, under the name Free Logs. One file, one upload, 34,510 records, each pairing an email address with a plaintext password and a URL showing the site that login belonged to.
Why This Is Dangerous
It took just one file to expose tens of thousands of working logins. Because the passwords sit in plaintext, there is no cracking or guessing involved, whoever opens the file can start testing accounts immediately.
What Was Exposed
- Email addresses
- Plaintext passwords
- URLs linked to each login
Why This Matters
A single file this size goes a long way when people reuse passwords across accounts. Attackers run leaks like this through credential stuffing tools that quietly test each email and password pair against banks, email providers, and shopping sites. Any match becomes an account takeover, and from there identity theft and financial fraud follow closely behind.
How Stealer Logs Work
This is a stealer log, the direct output of infostealer malware running on an infected device. The malware typically spreads through a cracked download, a fake update, or a malicious attachment, then quietly copies saved passwords, autofill data, and session cookies before sending everything back to the attacker. One infected machine, or a batch of them, can be enough to produce a single file of this size, which is then posted to Telegram to build a following before larger paid dumps follow.
