In June 2026, a Telegram user uploaded a stealer log file exposing 14,315 stolen credential records tied to outlook.com accounts. This is not a breach of Microsoft's own systems. The data was harvested from personal devices already infected with information-stealing malware, then bundled into a single log and shared publicly on Telegram. The exposed records include email addresses, plaintext passwords, and the URLs where each set of credentials was used.

Why This Outlook.com Stealer Log Is Dangerous

An inbox is often the master key to everything else in someone's digital life. Password reset emails for banking, shopping, and social media accounts all flow through it. Because the passwords in this leak were stored in plaintext, anyone who downloads the file can read them instantly and try logging straight into the affected outlook.com accounts, no cracking required.

What Was Exposed in This Leak

  • Email addresses
  • Plaintext passwords
  • URLs showing which sites or services each login was tied to

Why This Matters to You

Criminals take leaked email and password combinations and test them against other popular websites through a method called credential stuffing. If any of the 14,315 people in this leak reused their outlook.com password elsewhere, those accounts are now exposed to takeover as well. Because an email account controls password resets for so many other services, a compromised outlook.com login can quickly cascade into identity theft or financial fraud across accounts that were never directly involved in this leak.

How Stealer Log Leaks Like This One Happen

Stealer malware typically infects a device through a pirated download, a cracked application, or a phishing link disguised as a legitimate file. Once running, it quietly extracts saved usernames, passwords, and browsing data directly from the victim's browser and sends it back to the attacker. That stolen data is then compiled into a log, exactly like the one behind this incident, and posted to Telegram channels where anyone can download and use it.
