Stealer Log Tied to plateautel.net Exposes 1,473 Records

HEROIC analysts identified a stealer log file tied to plateautel.net that surfaced on a Telegram channel on June 10, 2026. The file contained 1,473 records, including email addresses, plaintext passwords, and the URLs of the accounts those credentials unlock. The file was shared freely within the channel, meaning anyone with access could pull the data down immediately.

Why This Is Dangerous

This data was not pulled from a hacked corporate database, it was harvested directly from an infected device by malware. That means the passwords are stored in plaintext, not hashed or encrypted, exactly as the victim typed them. Combined with the matching URL, an attacker knows exactly which site each login belongs to and can attempt to use it right away.

What Was Exposed

  • Email addresses
  • Plaintext passwords
  • URLs of the accounts the credentials belong to

Why This Matters

Even in a smaller file like this one, the risk to the people involved is real. If any of these 1,473 individuals reused a password across other accounts, an attacker can use credential stuffing to try that same combination on email, banking, or social media logins. That can quickly lead to account takeover, identity theft, or financial fraud.

How Stealer Logs Work

Stealer malware typically spreads through cracked software, fake downloads, or malicious email attachments. Once it infects a device, it quietly collects saved usernames, passwords, autofill data, and browsing history straight from the browser. That information is packaged into a log file and sent to whoever controls the malware, then sold, traded, or uploaded to Telegram channels like the one where this file surfaced.
