Our Analysts Found the prdscloud 4 Dump Circulating in Private Telegram Channels
In August 2023, HEROIC analysts monitoring private Telegram channels discovered a fourth stealer log in the prdscloud series being shared freely among threat actors. The file, designated prdscloud 4, contained 31 records with email addresses, plaintext passwords, and URLs from compromised endpoints. While smaller in scale than other entries in the series, this batch carries the same immediate risk: every password in the file is readable, every URL points to a known target, and every credential is available to anyone who downloaded the file.
Why the prdscloud 4 Stealer Log Is Dangerous
Small batches of stolen credentials are not less dangerous than large ones. Attackers do not need thousands of records to cause real damage. Thirty-one working credentials can mean thirty-one compromised accounts, and if even one of those accounts belongs to someone who reuses passwords across email, banking, or workplace systems, the damage can spread far beyond what the numbers suggest. The plaintext format ensures no technical skill is required to use this data: the attacker simply copies the email and password, opens the correct URL, and logs in.

Why This Matters
Credentials stolen through infostealer malware are particularly dangerous because they often include active session data alongside passwords. Even in cases where only email and password combinations are present, the plaintext format eliminates the usual time buffer that hashed password leaks provide. Victims of stealer logs have no window to act before their accounts are at risk.
How Stealer Logs Like prdscloud 4 Work
The prdscloud series of logs illustrates a common pattern in the infostealer ecosystem. A single operator, or a small group, infects devices through phishing campaigns, malicious software cracks, or trojanized downloads. The malware silently collects credentials from every device it reaches and sends them back as structured log files. Those files are then distributed in batches through private Telegram channels, sometimes sold and sometimes shared for free to build credibility or attract attention. The prdscloud operator appears to have released at least four separate batches, suggesting an ongoing harvesting operation rather than a one-time event.
