565,371 sounds like a big number until you compare it to something familiar. That's roughly the population of a mid-sized American city, and every single one of those records in the file known as "ScorpionLogs ULP PUBLIC6" is a real email paired with a real plaintext password. Uploaded to a Telegram channel on 22-Jun-2024, this dump didn't need a fancy corporate hack behind it to do serious harm, it just needed a compiler with access to enough recycled logins.

Why This Is Dangerous

ULP stands for "user, log, pass," and that naming tells you everything about how this list is structured: straight rows of usable login pairs, no encryption standing in the way. Attackers don't have to guess or brute force anything, they just load the list into automated tools and start testing it against banks, email providers, and shopping sites at machine speed.

What Was Exposed

  • 565,371 rows of email addresses linked to plaintext passwords
  • URLs indicating exactly which websites the stolen logins belonged to
  • Zero encryption or masking protecting any of the credential pairs

Why This Matters

A leak this size doesn't stay contained to one small group of victims, it spreads across forums and gets copied, re-uploaded, and merged into even bigger combolists over time. Even if you weren't specifically targeted when it first surfaced, your data can resurface months or years later in a totally different context, wich makes cleanup a moving target.

How This Kind of Combolist Gets Built

Lists labeled "PUBLIC" like this one are often released deliberately as a kind of calling card, meant to prove a seller's credibility before they offer a bigger, more exclusive batch for sale. The credentials themselves are usually pulled from older breaches or malware logs, then cleaned up, deduplicated, and repackaged so buyers can use them right away without extra work.
