In June 2025, a threat actor operating through Telegram uploaded a stealer log file publicly known as Snakes_folders 347count. The upload exposed 661 records containning email addresses, plaintext passwords, and endpoint URLs -- the kind of data that gives attackers direct access to accounts without any further cracking required. If your email address was swept up in this log, your credentials may already be in criminal hands.

Why This Is Dangerous

Stealer logs are not like ordinary data breaches. They are collected by malware running silently on a victim's computer, capturing credentials at the exact moment they are typed or auto-filled. This means the passwords in this log were active and working at the time of collection. Plaintext passwords require zero effort for an attacker to use -- there is no hashing to crack, no decryption to perform. Combined with the URLs showing exactly which sites these credentials belong to, an attacker has a ready-made login kit for every record in this dump.

What Was Exposed

  • Email Addresses -- used as usernames across hundreds of services
  • Plaintext Passwords -- fully usable with no further processing needed
  • URLs -- revealing exactly which sites each credential pair belongs to

Why This Matters

Even 661 records is not a small number when each record represents a real person's active login. Stealer log data circulates rapidley through Telegram channels and dark web forums, meaning this data may have been bought, sold, and used many times since June 2025. If you reuse passwords across accounts, a single compromised credential can cascade into unauthorized access across your entire digital life -- email, banking, social media, and work systems.

How Stealer Log Attacks Work

Stealer malware typically arrives through phishing emails, malicious software downloads, or compromised websites. Once installed, it runs silently in the background and records every credential entered into a browser or application. These logs are then packaged -- often organized by folder structure as this one was -- and sold or freely distributed through private Telegram groups. The Snakes_folders 347count file follows this exact pattern, uploaded by an anonymous Telegram user who likely either wrote the malware or purchased the log from a broker.
