HEROIC Analysts Find 30,349 Exposed Records in the Snakes_folders Stealer Dump

In July 2025, HEROIC analysts uncovered a stealer log bundle uploaded to Telegram containing 30,349 compromised records. The data was distributed by an anonymous Telegram user operating under the Snakes_folders handle, and included plaintext passwords, email addresses, and the specific URLs where credentials were captured from infected machines. The breach occured with no warning to victims, whose devices had been silently compromised before the logs were packaged and shared.


Why Plaintext Stealer Log Data Is Immediately Weaponizable

Unlike hashed password dumps that require cracking before use, the Snakes_folders data is ready to deploy the moment a criminal downloads it. Each record contains a working email-and-password pair along with the exact URL where the credentials were harvested. Attackers use this combination to log directly into accounts without any additional steps. These log files are then traded or posted in Telegram channels where other criminals can download them for free or for a small fee.
