HEROIC discovered 8,510 records exposed in the STAKE_LOGS stealer log breach on October 20, 2024. The dataset surfaced on a public Telegram channel and targets users of crypto gambling platforms, bundling plaintext passwords with the sites victims visited.

Why This Stealer Log Is Dangerous

Stealer logs skip every authentication checkpoint by handing attackers the raw username and password in plaintext. Because STAKE_LOGS focuses on crypto gambling accounts, a single hit can be drained instantly. The Telegram distribution means thousands of low-skill actors can weaponize the list in hours.

What Was Exposed in STAKE_LOGS

  • Login credentials (usernames, passwords in plaintext)
  • Browser cookies and active session tokens
  • Autofill form data from gambling and wallet sites
  • Crypto wallet data and exchange API hosts
  • System fingerprints from infected endpoints

The mix of credentials plus wallet artifacts makes this leak a direct pipeline to stolen balances.

Why This Matters

Password reuse turns a gambling credential into an email, bank, or work login in seconds. Attackers run automated credential stuffing against banks, exchanges, and cloud services the moment a dump goes public. Crypto losses from these logs are effectively unrecoverable.

How a Stealer Log Like STAKE_LOGS Works

A victim executes a trojanized installer, cracked game, or malicious ad payload. The infostealer scans browsers, crypto wallets, and saved form data, then exfiltrates everything to an attacker server. Operators bundle the harvest into log packs and dump them on Telegram for resale or clout.
