In September 2023, HEROIC analysts confirmed the presence of a stealer log file shared on Telegram under the name stake_logs. The file contained 6,105 verified records, each composed of an email address, a plaintext password, and the URL of the associated website or service. The log was produced by malware running on infected devices and then distributed through a Telegram channel, placing fully usable login credentials in front of an unknown number of recipients.
Why Plaintext Credentials in the stake_logs File Are Immediately Dangerous
