On July 8, 2025, HEROIC analysts identified a stealer log dataset labeled "SunCloudNew 1218" uploaded to a public Telegram channel. The file exposed 18,375 records containing email addresses, plaintext passwords, and associated URLs harvested directly from infected devices.

Why the SunCloudNew 1218 Leak Is Dangerous

Because the 18,375 passwords in this file are stored in plaintext, anyone who downloads it can log in with the exposed credentials immediately, no cracking or decryption needed. The associated URLs tell an attacker exactly which site each login belongs to, turning the file into a ready-made list of accounts to target across nearly twenty thousand accounts at once.

What the SunCloudNew 1218 Stealer Log Exposed

  • Email addresses
  • Plaintext passwords
  • URLs linked to the accounts accessed

Why This Matters for Reused Passwords

Plaintext passwords like these are fed directly into credential stuffing tools that test them against banking, email, and shopping accounts. Anyone who reused one of these 18,375 exposed passwords elsewhere faces a real risk of account takeover, identity theft, and financial fraud.

How Stealer Log Malware Works

Stealer logs come from malware that infects a device, often through a pirated download, malicious attachment, or fake installer, then quietly harvests saved browser passwords, autofill data, and login sessions. The stolen data is bundled into a log file, as happened with "SunCloudNew 1218," and passed along to whoever controls the malware for resale or free distribution.
