Records Exposed 19,297
Source Type Stealer log
Origin Telegram
Password Type plaintext

19,297 passwords. That is the size of a stealer log file HEROIC analysts identified on a public Telegram channel on January 8, 2025, tied to a source labeled "Trident_Cloud." Every record pairs an email address with a plaintext password and the URL of the account that password opens, all pulled directly from malware-infected devices.

Why This Is Dangerous

A number that size is not a coincidence, it is the output of malware running silently on thousands of devices, quietly copying whatever credentials it finds. None of these passwords are encrypted or hashed. They sit in plain text, ready for anyone who downloads the file to start testing them against real accounts immediately.

What Was Exposed in the Trident_Cloud Dump

  • Email addresses tied to infected devices
  • Plaintext passwords stored and leaked with no encryption
  • URLs showing exactly which accounts each login unlocks

Why This Matters

With nearly 20,000 working logins in one file, the odds that at least some of these passwords are reused elsewhere are high. That reuse is exactly what powers credential stuffing attacks, and once an attacker is inside one account, account takeover, financial fraud, and identity theft tend to follow quickly.

How the Trident_Cloud Stealer Log Was Likely Built

Stealer logs like this one come from infostealer malware that infects devices through cracked software, fake updates, or malicious attachments. Once installed, it copies saved browser passwords, autofill data, and active sessions into a text file and sends it back to the attacker, who then compiles and uploads files like this one to Telegram channels dedicated to trading stolen data.
