HEROIC analysts identified a stealer log file uploaded to a public Telegram channel on January 7, 2025, tied to a source labeled "Trident_Cloud_2." The file contained 11,866 records, each pairing an email address with a plaintext password and the URL of the account that password opens, all pulled directly from malware-infected devices.

Why This Is Dangerous

Somewhere right now, someone could already be logging into an account using one of these 11,866 credential pairs, and the real owner would have no way of knowing. The password sits in plain text next to the exact site it belongs to, so there is no barrier between the file and an active login session.

What Was Exposed in the Trident_Cloud_2 Leak

  • Email addresses tied to infected devices
  • Plaintext passwords with no encryption applied
  • URLs identifying the exact login page each credential unlocks

Why This Matters

Picture your email showing up in a file like this: an attacker could already be inside your inbox, your bank, or your social accounts before you notice anything is wrong. That is exactly how credential stuffing turns into account takeover, and from there into financial fraud or identity theft.

How the Trident_Cloud_2 Stealer Log Was Likely Built

Stealer logs like this one come from infostealer malware that infects a device through a cracked download, a fake update, or a malicious attachment. Once active, it copies saved browser passwords, autofill data, and live sessions into a text file and sends it back to the attacker, who then packages and uploads files like this one to Telegram channels for sale or free distribution.
